Hats off to the Law of Chastity!

So why is it exactly that medical professionals do not believe you? I figure you know your own body the best right?

Well today I went in for an ultrasound to check up on my ovarian cysts. The last one was in December. So we finished the ultrasound and I got to pee (YAY!!!) and she told me to come back for the internal exam after i finished using the restroom. My eyes probably almost popped out. I did not have that last time and I knew nothing about going up in there! I just had a pap what more were they gonna find???

She came back in and said the only reason you would not have this is if you have never had sexual relations. I stated simply "I havent." The look of confusion and shock was very prominent on her face. She was confused. she could have sworn we had done it before. That was 11 months ago! Seriously do you think I am lying? Did you think I forgot I had sex before December but not today? She had to go check her records to verify. Okay I am fine with this, but seriously you dont believe me?

I am very grateful for the law of Chastity! Thank you I did not have to do that test and that I am shocking to an ultrasound technician!

I thought this was funny and you are all close friends and girls so you can all deal with it.

Awesome Friday!

So today has just been awesome. I went to the temple this morning and David accompanied me. He did a session and I did Baptisms and Confirmations. There were a lot of people doing family names so I kinda just did a lot of sitting. I did not think people would be there early on a Friday morning. In fact they did not have enough priesthood in the baptistery when I first got there. I was told I was short and that i looked like I was still in high school. The verdict is still out on how i feel about this, but I dont think its too good. I am not the tallest person in the world but I am not short. Anyway, the temple was awesome. You get answers to prayers and are filled with love and just great feelings. I wish everybody would go more often. Well I felt like i was in the waiting game for about an hour (and I was there even longer) However David was still not done. I watched the Christus performance 3 times then walked to Seagull book, then I got a text that he was out. We drove back to here and went to Olive Garden. lol. Remember how I said Nan only allowed me our giftcard if I took David out with it. I thought it would never happen, since we have made it very apparent we are friends. But hey we used the card and he had 5 bowls of soup. lol. The waitress was getting a tad annoyed I think. I finished after bowl 2 I believe. It was lots of fun and I loved it. I feel so happy right now, and let me clarify its because of the Temple. But I am glad I have a good friend to go with me. He made sure we listened to Bluegrass on the way home. He wanted to listen to the cd's he sent me once. oh man, he actually does like them. They make me laugh and I think they are cute, but I would not say quality music. he is a special one.
Well we will see ho the rest of the day goes. Tasha is supposed to come to open mic night . I am so excited I get to hang out with my friend and let her hang out with some good Mormon people. We all need a group of supportive friends. We definitely all need that. Thank you all for being there for me.

I am definitely learning to listen to the spirit these days. I love it!

Dating Agent

So I think I need a Dating Agent. I want to start going on dates more and ones where we both realize its a date. :) I have been hanging out too much and am being a person who is always there to hang out with, and I need to show I am not putting all my eggs in one basket. Because I dont want to bank all on one thing, cause I am not too positive it will ever go anywhere. So I am positive about dating. However here is the problem, I always ask jerks or end up with guys who dont treat me as they should. Therefore, I want a dating agent who will make sure I dont try to go out with a not so great guy. maybe I could even get this agent to ask him out for me but this might be asking too much.
Then again maybe I should become a dating agent. But i have decided a dating agent has to be seeking a person of the gender of the dating agent. Like i would want a guy dating agent because they know guys. So I could advise and help guys with girls. Oh its just an idea.

But seriously how do I go out there and start dating? Like do I need a coming out party?

Have ya ever?

Okay so I had a spiritual experience while watching conference, and felt I really needed to do something. It was almost the last thing in the world I wanted to do. However all of the first session of conference was about listening to the Spirit and love. How can I possibly do nothing about that really strong prompting after all of that? Easily! I could have done nothing. However I knew what I felt was right without a doubt. It was a feeling I just could not deny not even days later. Plus after all of those talks pushing me in on direction, if I wanted happiness how could I not? Well I did it. I hated it and i feel good. The human in me is yelling why the heck did you do that stupid? But everything else is telling me you do not see the results nor the cause of the spirit telling you to do this but you will. I see small little helps and hindrances but the Lord would never guide me to do something that would lead me to down fall. He would only have me do things for my good. It might not be easy but it will be worth it. I have to admit that was the hardest thing I have ever done! However I could not back away from it because I could not deny that that is what the spirit prompted me to do. I really do not want to share what it was, and please respect that, but maybe part of the answer was to prove to myself I was strong enough to listen and do. Again I think that is a small side lesson, but i think it will have a bigger impact later. Hopefully sooner rather than 10 years down the road, because I want to know the reason my Heavenly Father wanted me to do that so bad. Why did I do that horribly possibly bad resulting thing? It was not bad lets clarify, it was just something normal people would not want to do, that includes me.

In the end I dont know. But i am glad I did it, even though the natural Wendy says you are so crazy. But the spiritual side said you did good and did what you know was right.

For some reason I just feel i need reassurance on this. Have you guys ever had experiences like this? ones where you are doing it because you were prompted even though it freaked you out and you did not know what good would come of it, but it all worked out good in the end?

The Gospel Rocks!

So I was having yet another really rough week and my mother is leaving in the morning to go to Kansas, earlier than expected. I am gonna be home all Friday by myself so I was figuring I was gonna have a breakdown sometime. I did not want to make my mom feel worse, cause she already feels bad she will not be able to celebrate my birthday with me. So I did not want to ask my dad for a blessing. I have been feeling like I needed one all week but wouldnt ask. Today I text a friend who is like a brother to me, since my brothers are busy elsewhere and I really wanted it today. SO I got my blessing and I am very glad. I think I needed it from someone else, because I knew that he did not know what was going on, but said exactly what I needed to hear. I know Heavenly Father is listening, sometimes we just need help in remembering we are not here alone. I love this Gospel! Where else would I have such a great answer. I am so full of Gratitude!

The Cricket Diary

Okay this is not on my recently normal subject but felt it has completely altered my life for the past two days, so its good enough to write about.

So normally I dont kill every cricket I see, only if it is in my way because mostly they dont bother me. However there is some vengence in this new crowd of crickets who have decided to come around this monsoon time. They go on my sink in my bathroom which I think is a vialation of all thats good in the world. So i started closing the drain (i thought i was cutting off their entry but my dad informs me this is not so but their foood and drink supply) and they would not come in my bathroom. Great! I was happy. Then they apparently (but in very low population) moved elsewhere. I saw one go in my room, but um I have brown carpet, you try keeping track of that thing! Well I figured he left cause my room cannot be that interesting. Well then Thursday night the chirping began. It was loud and obnoxious! I seriously have never heard a cricket SOOOO loud before. I was having a rough night sleeping but this made it impossible. I could not find it either.
SO last night I decided it was on. I was on my knees saying a prayer when it started. I debated whether praying to Heavenly Father to help me kill a cricket was ethical or good. But either way i got up and then it stopped. see this is a smart cricket, because it was like motion sensored and would stop if you got too close. I was tearing apart my room. I swore he was in here because of how loud he was, but then I really dont know where he was! I became convinced after following the sound he was either in my door or door frame. Upon seeking this venture my dad and I have now found the shotty job the builder people did at fixing our house after Paul crashed into it with the van. See the bathroom wall and my wall moved when he hit the house and my door was effected. Well apparently there are holes around my door frame, we found them last night. My dad was not so sure at first. He sat in my room with me in the dark. I was in bed and he in my chair. I had flashbacks to when my parents would sit in my room when I was scared or having a hard time, then would leave when I would fall asleep. Surprisingly it was comforting, but when i forgot he was there and he made a sound i was a tad startled. Anyway the chirping begins again. it takes like 3 rounds for my dad to find him. Then we found him! we squirted him with our cricket killer (water and soap-works every time!) and he seemed injured but then disappeared. My dad told me he is either dead or not chirping around here anymore. Hallelujah! (i just spelled that correctly the first time!) This better be the end of my story because I want some good sleep tonight. No up until 230 am to kill a cricket.
Needless to say I love my dad! I might be 21 in a few weeks but he still will come and do a cricket stake out in my room!

Meeting Traci

Well Saturday I got to meet my favorite author, Traci Hunter Abramson. I was so excited! Meeting her was awesome. In my life I have found having a good attitude and finding positive perspectives is the way to be happier. She is the definition of this. She told us so many stories and seemed to be so positive about everything and to not let anything bother her, i loved that. She seems to be the type of author that just loves to write, and write for her followers, not someone after great achievements or to be the best out there. Of course I actually think she is one of the best. She also started asking me questions, granted I was hanging out at her table, so it was nice to be asked about. Eventually she asked me what I wanted to do with my major, and I told her writing and how I first found I liked writing. She was so sweet and encouraged me. She said "when you get published"... which made me think she was jumping ahead a little. However, hearing her talk about not needing to be the best out there, because it is not a competition, made me rethink why I have not been writing. She mentioned how she writes for people to have fun, and not to try to sell a million copies, but hopefully more than the last book. I just loved her attitude and her personality. I am very glad I loved the person who wrote my favorite books, cause wouldn't stink if the author of the books I read was a brat? Well this is totally not the case here. I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the signing. I also left with a new way of looking at my writing. Thanks so much for coming to Glendale Traci, even though no one really showed up. I am really glad she came.
